Welcome to our new website we hope you like our new look.  We are in a constant process to update this site by giving it a fresh new look and hopefully make it more user friendly.  If there is anything that you would like to see added to our site or suggestion to make this website even better, please let us know by contacting the webmaster@commonlawvenue.net.  If you come across any links that are not working, please inform us so we can better serve you.  In the mean time, you will see some of the old site integrated in this new site until we can update it all.  There is a lot of work to be done, so please have patience while we work out the bugs.  All of the links and data is still here. If you look up "venue" in Black’s Law Dictionary 6^th Ed. you will find the origin of the word stems from the word "visne" which means "neighborhood." Basically that is where you are now on the web, our Common Law neighborhood.

A few years back some folks from around the Twin City area in Minnesota began meeting together on Tuesday nights at a garage in the Twin Cities. Aside from the fact we all got our auto repairs at the same place, we had little else in common. Amongst our diverse crowd were grease monkeys, carpenters, homemakers, teachers, truck drivers, investment brokers, doctors, public servants, a corrections officer, and a cop. We were all drawn to our initial meeting to explore this crazy notion that we had been misled our whole lives about the income tax. So we started to tinker and play a bit. And what a ride it has been.

If the theory is out there, we’ve seen it, tried it, got burned by it, learned by it, and kept going anyway. We have discovered successes and failures in just about every so-called silver bullet package out there on the market. We also discovered along the way that the income tax wasn’t the problem, it was merely a symptom of a far more pervasive cancer feeding on the very heart of our communities of free men and women. We learned that this creature called THE UNITED STATES is not our nation at all, but merely a corporation which is in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. What was worse, we learned, was that our so-called sovereign states, counties, and local governments operate under the umbrella of this bankruptcy every day. This means that every single government agency or agent is operating in a state of I N S O L V E N C Y. What is even worse, we learned, is that every single "person" using those all too familiar green slips of paper in our wallets is also operating in that state insolvency.

Naturally our appetites for knowledge grew. We found ourselves immersed in this fast growing cottage industry known as the “patriot” movement. As we dug farther and deeper and collected our own unique experiences and successes we began to spread around what we ourselves had learned. In January of 2001 we decided to go public on the world wide web in the hope that others out there like ourselves will feel confident in their own ability to plunge into this ever important cause. It is a cause like no other because if we fail to wake up others in our neighborhoods we are all in big trouble. If you understand even a tiny microcosm of what bankruptcy is all about, you might begin to understand the problem and why this free country you thought you lived in is merely a mirage and that it is destined to disappear even as an illusion if the real people of this country don’t wake up and do something about it. Mind you, it is people, not government, that must do this. Government will never, ever reform… only the people can do that.

As we have ventured farther down this road of discovery we have grown as individuals and as a community of believers. We have learned that a far more important word in our lexicon than the “bankruptcy” is the word “BELIEF.”  No other word can capture in totality the call of the American experiment as was laid out in the Declaration of Independence. We absolutely refuse to suggest you adhere to a specific spiritual or religious belief system and yet we adamantly adhere to the necessity of belief as an absolute foundation of law. It is the element of belief, or rather the absence thereof, in today’s world that has put us in economic, political, and spiritual bankruptcy. It robs people of the necessary hope that generates positive energy. The lack of positive energy builds up the fear, despair, resentment, anger, and violence in our communities and our world. The renewal of belief breeds hope, and hope generates energy that brings about change. 

In a short time we have met people in several other states who share the same desire we have to get the word out to educate as many in our communities who will listen and to find those with the courage and calling to action. This website was initially designed to offer the user a look at the various things we have tried. It also is here to serve as a vehicle to bring you as close to a support group near your own locale as possible. Meetings, lectures and study groups at the venue near you are accessible to anyone using this website. If you have a group of folks in your area that wish to spread the word send us and e-mail and we can help you get it on the net. 

Also available are articles, summaries, study materials, and useful links to other websites for your own private use. REMEMBER, nothing you see or use off this website is a guarantee or a silver bullet. If you feel a calling to learn these truths, then you must also learn and live these maxims.

Do you think when Babe Ruth went up to the plate the first few times to hit the ball that he KNEW he would drive it out of the park? Do you think Michael Jordan made every single basket he ever threw from his first lay-up as a child? Just because one fellow goes onto a car lot and negotiates a sweet deal on an Audi does not mean that the sucker that walks in five minutes later is guaranteed the same awesome price. If you are merely one who seeks to ride on the coattails of the hard work of others, then you are that sucker. But if you sincerely wish to study hard and tailor what we have to offer to your own situation… GOD SPEED. 

Liberty is not just a right, it is a test. Freedom is the prize. The player who seeks the prize is called the SOVEREIGN. If you wish to be a sovereign, then you need to act like one. And if you don’t know what it means to be a sovereign that’s okay. There is nothing wrong with sitting in the cheering section. Just remember you have a right to step up to the plate anytime you wish and take a swing at the pitch.
